I'll be the first to admit that I remember the lyrics to nearly every song of nearly every movie. Ded-hard fan? Yep, you got me. High School Musical was an inspiration. Troy was hot. Gabriella was lowkey annoying (Don't come at me). And Sharpay was Queen (Except we didn't like her very much back then, did we?). Looking back, it was a time of beautiful naivety. Disney's movies were still creative and less repetitive (seriously, why do we need a real-life remake of every Disney Princess movie ever made?).
It's Romeo/Juliet meets Grease. Minus the beautiful outfits (After all, this was when wearing a long-sleeved shirt under a T-shirt was considered cool - Cringe). The tabloids went crazy on the HSM stars, and reading all about them was something we'd all look forward to. This was back when Hilary Duff was making movies, too. Oh, the nostalgia.
